About Trang Vuong
Trang Vuong is a certified Guidance Counselor with more than 25 years of experience in public, private and independent school education. She received her B.S. in Biology and Secondary School Education from Tulane University and her M.Ed. in Guidance and Counseling from Northwestern State University. Specializing in college admission planning and advising, she designed and instituted a comprehensive College Guidance Program at All Saints Episcopal School in Tyler, Texas. During her 11 year tenure at All Saints as the Director of Academic & College Advising, her ability to work with over 450 students and their families was marked with enthusiasm, innovation, breath of knowledge, and experience drawn from her travels across the US to assess colleges and dialog with Admission Deans.
To ensure successful placement, Trang’s greatest success lies in her ability to skillfully guide students through the application and essay process and help them identify a list of “best fit” colleges. Her attention to detail brings disparate components of the application together to convey a unified, compelling message that distinguishes a student from the rest of the applicant pool.
Trang is an active member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), Texas Association for College Admission Counseling (TACAC), The Southern Association for College Admission Counseling (SACAC) and a Professional Member of Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA). She was awarded the Milken Family Foundation Educator Award, recognized as one of ten top educators in the state of Texas in 2000. She also received recognition from the All Saints Episcopal School Board of Trustees for her dedication to the education of children.
